Ecophysiology of Stress

Savannah Sparrows

We run a long-term study on Savannah sparrows on Kent Island in the Bay of Fundy.  This marked population has been followed since 1987 and forms one pillar of our research program.  Every year we follow each individual to monitor breeding behaviour and reproductive success, and collect body measurements and blood and feather samples to assess long-term effects of the early life environment on physiology, behaviour and fitness.
